Since beating Tottenham 3-0 on 16 March, it’s been a difficult end to the season for a Fulham side whose only success in the past seven matches was a 2-0 triumph at West Ham. They recently lost 3-1 at home to Liverpool, with the previous two games seeing Marco Silva’s side draw 1-1 with Crystal Palace and then land a goalless draw at Brentford.
This is Fulham’s final home match of what has been a relatively successful campaign. The London outfit haven’t looked in danger of relegation all season and they have won nine of their eighteen games at home, scoring thirty-one goals and conceding twenty. However, Manchester City will regard them as favourable opponents here.
The champions don’t have the distraction of Europe and can focus solely on their remaining three matches starting with this one. The team are full of goals, as can be testified by 5-1 wins over Luton and Wolves, while they also claimed a 4-0 triumph at Brighton, with Erling Haaland looking as though he will be the division’s top scorer once again.
Guardiola has nearly a fully-fit squad from which to select and he may recall Ruben Dias and John Stones in defence for this clash.
