English Premier League Betting Odds - Week 24 including Liverpool v Chelsea

With Emirates FA Cup football taking place this weekend, the Premier League is back with a bang with a bonus midweek fixture list.

After a very good set of results for Chelsea, Antonio Conte’s men now sit eight points clear at the top of the Premier League table. Arsenal’s late winner at home to Burnley lifted them into second, whilst Tottenham Hotspur earned a hard-fought 2-2 draw at Manchester City. Swansea City pulled off the shock of the weekend, though, earning a stunning 3-2 win over Liverpool at Anfield.

All 20 Premier League clubs are in action in midweek, with Chelsea’s trip to Liverpool the standout fixture. We’ll also be focussing on Sunderland’s crunch match with high-flyers Tottenham, Arsenal’s visit of Watford and West Ham United’s home game with Pep Guardiola’s City.

With our live odds comparison, best betting odds, tips, analysis and previews on this round’s biggest Premier League fixtures, we’ll be doing our very best to try and win you some money.

Sunderland v Tottenham Hotspur

We kick things off with Tuesday’s clash at the Stadium of Light, as David Moyes’ Sunderland welcome Mauricio Pochettino’s Tottenham Hotspur. The Black Cats are rock-bottom after losing four of their last five. Meanwhile, Spurs sit third on 46 points.

Looking at our live odds comparison, the bookies have Sunderland as the big underdogs, with BetVictor offering the huge price of 19/2 for an unlikely home triumph. The draw, meanwhile, is available at the tempting price of 4/1 with Betway.

However, Spurs have an excellent recent record over the Black Cats, beating them 1-0 at White Hart Lane earlier in the season, also. Therefore, we’re predicting a comfortable away victory in this one. The best betting odds you can get on a Tottenham win are 4/11 (Sporting Bet), but we prefer Coral’s 4/5 for Pochettino’s men to win -2.

Arsenal v Watford

Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal welcome Walter Mazzarri’s Watford to the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday, as the Gunners seek a victory to stay on the heels of Chelsea at the top. Going into next week’s PL fixtures, the north London outfit are eight points adrift of the Blues.

As for the Hornets, they head to the Emirates in poor form. A 3-2 win over Ronald Koeman’s Everton in mid-December was the last time they tasted a Premier League victory. For those of you who fancy backing a shock away win, BetVictor have the eye-opening odds of 14/1. You can even get the draw at 6/1 with the same bookie.

Although they left it late against Burnley last Sunday, Alexis Sanchez’s last-gasp penalty earned the Gunners a priceless 2-1 win over the Clarets. On Tuesday, though, we predict Arsenal to make life a little easier for themselves. According to the odds comparison, Sky Bet have the best price on a home win, making it available at just 1/4. Therefore, we believe there’s better value in Coral’s 4/6 for Wenger’s men to win -1 on Tuesday.

Liverpool v Chelsea

The biggest match from next week’s fixture list comes from Anfield, as Jurgen Klopp’s fourth-placed Liverpool welcome the Premier League leaders to Merseyside. If the Reds have any aspirations of winning this year’s PL title, this has to go down as a must win.

On the other hand, a draw would not be a bad result for Chelsea. However, victory would open up a whopping 13-point lead over Klopp’s troops and send out a real message to the chasing pack. Going into Tuesday’s showdown, despite falling to a shock 3-2 defeat to lowly Swansea City last time out in the league at home, the bookies have Liverpool as the favourites. William Hill are offering odds of 6/4 for a home triumph.

Considering Chelsea have lost just one of their last 16 PL matches, winning the other 15, Ladbrokes’ 2/1 for an away victory looks a really appealing price. However, the Blues’ sole home defeat came at the hands of Liverpool, and the Reds will be looking to bounce back after last weekend’s shock result.

Because of that, we’re predicting a close, tense and cagey affair at Anfield, in a game that neither side will want to lose. Betfred are offering 12/5 for the draw, which we believe is the standout choice of bet in this mouth-watering clash of the titans.

West Ham United v Manchester City

Last up, Slaven Bilic’s West Ham United and Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City square off at the London Stadium on Wednesday evening. When these two met in the FA Cup in early January, City ran out comprehensive 5-0 winners. Guardiola’s side also beat the Hammers 3-1 at the Etihad in PL action back in August.

However, West Ham have improved drastically since their 5-0 FA Cup defeat, and we can’t see the same kind of outcome unfolding in this one. The Irons have won five of their last seven league matches, taking an impressive 15 points from a possible 21 in the process.

Man City’s four points from their last four Premier League matches has left them with a mountain to climb in terms of this season’s title race. The Citizens, who looked unstoppable in the early months of the campaign, look a completely different side these days. For one reason or another, things have not gone to plan for Pep and co. of late, as they have dropped a huge 12 points behind the leaders.

Looking at the live odds comparison, West Ham are available at the tempting odds of 21/4 with BetVictor, whilst the draw is priced at 10/3 (William Hill). However, despite City’s problems of late, we can see them sealing a vital three points on Wednesday. The best odds you can get on the away win are 4/7 with Sky Bet, a price we believe is worth having a punt on.
