outright winner market is always one of the most popular bets when it comes to football’s big events and euro 2016 is no different. we expect millions of pounds to be wagered around europe and indeed the world as fans and punters back their euro 2016 predictions with cold, hard cash.

ronaldo is sure to feature heavily in the
top goalscorer outright betting and indeed the portuguese forward is joint favourite at the time of writing. bet365 price both him and germany’s thomas muller at tempting odds of 7/1, whilst psg’s antoine griezmann is just a shade further out at odds of 8/1.
ronaldo is unquestionably the best player in europe but whilst he is an individual, muller is a team man and, crucially, part of a fantastic team. in 2010 muller was joint top scorer at the world cup with five goals, whilst in the 2014 world cup he once more registered five goals, this time finishing second in the top goalscorer charts. overall the bayern munich man has scored 31 goals in 70 games for germany and we certainly wouldn’t advise against a bet on him in this particular outright market.

this is a fascinating market that essentially combines both the previous outrights into one single bet. there are, naturally enough, a huge number of options, and with at least three or four viable options in both the winner outright and the top scorer market, landing this bet will take a lot of skill and probably a little luck as well.
the market is headed by the combination of germany and muller, available at odds of 14/1 with bet365. perhaps unsurprisingly france/griezmann isn’t far behind at odds of 16/1. france and olivier giroud are next up, a long way further back at odds of 40/1, whilst bet365 offer that same price on romelu lukaku firing belgium to glory.
england fans who aren’t put off by the 50 years of hurt since the last, and indeed only, three lions success at a major tournament, may be interested in the england/harry kane outright at 50/1. sticking with the idea of the top scorer hailing from the winning nation, portugal/ronaldo may tempt some at 50/1 but, of course, there is no need to limit yourself in this way.

the “to reach the final” outright is a little like an each way bet on the outright winner but without having to double your stake. effectively this is a place market that pays out should your team make the final of euro 2016, with no difference in the winnings whether they ultimately win or lose.

stage of elimination
when it comes to team specials, the stage of elimination betting is one of the most fascinating and popular outrights that bet365 offer. the market is offered for just about every side at the euros and whilst many of the minnows are all but certain to exit at the group stage, predicting when the top sides will be eliminated is altogether trickier.
england often flatter to deceive and the quarter finals has so often signalled the end of their involvement in major tournaments. roy hodgson’s men can be backed at odds of 9/4 to get beat in the quarters, 5/1 to exit at the semis or, for the pessimists, 5/2 to depart at the last 16 phase.

the final outright market we shall look at, although certainly not the last offered by bet365, concerns who the top scorer for each nation will be. in theory there are 23 options for each team, so once again, loads of different permutations for you to consider.
in terms of the shortest priced favourites, it should come as no surprise to see ronaldo priced as the odds-on favourite to lead the way for portugal. for england, leicester fans are sure to be tempted by odds of 6/1 on jamie vardy, whilst daniel sturridge may not be a bad bet at 8/1 and kane leads the way at 7/4.
