there are 26 euro 2016 qualifiers taking place between the 12th and 16th november and we’ve got betting tips, predictions and live odds comparison for each and every one of them. we’ll be focussing on the uk sides, as well as the biggest games elsewhere, but we’re also offering up a tasty betting tip for all the other matches too, so whether you want one or two nice bets or predictions for a huge acca, we’ve got it covered.
friday 14th november
scotland v republic of ireland
things get more interesting on friday as these old rivals come head to head, looking to qualify from group d, a tough pool that also features germany and poland. scotland have been flying recently and whilst ireland will be full of confidence too, on home soil we have to go with a scottish win at odds of 7/5 in what we predict will be a very tight match with a place at euro 2016 meaning so much to both sides.
georgia v poland
georgia should be no match for the poles and given ireland won 2-1 when they visited the former soviet state we think robert lewandowski should have no real problems. we predict a relatively straightforward away win, although backing btts and poland could be worth a punt at long odds.
germany v gibraltar
no prizes for predicting the home win here but it’s a case of how many goals they’ll win by and for us the answer is at least five, so back germany -4.5 for some easy cash at fair odds.
greece v faroe islands
the expanded european competition throws up a large number of one-sided games and this should be another, greece priced at 1/6 with betfred to beat the tiny faroes as group f’s bottom sides meet. the faroes are yet to be outclassed though so back them +1.75 at 5/4 with winner for a nice payout.
hungary v finland
hungary and finland will both feel they can qualify for euro 2016, group f being one of the easier sections. hungary are big favourites but we feel the value lies in the draw at nice odds of 23/10 with bet365 given northern ireland managed a win in hungary back in september.
portugal v armenia
cristiano ronaldo will feel he can rack up more goals against armenia and despite his nation failing to produce so often we have to fancy a home win. odds of 1/5 won’t tempt too many though so instead we predict ronaldo to lead his men to a big victory, our betting tip here being portugal -2.5 at nice odds.
romania v northern ireland
romania are big favourites at betting odds of 8/13 (william hill) here but we feel the confidence the away side have after three wins from three may be enough to see them get a result. romania drew at home to hungary and so backing northern ireland +0.5 in the asian handicap looks a fine bet at odds of 29/20 with winner as they look to maintain their position at the top of group f.
serbia v denmark
serbia host denmark in euro 2016 qualifying group i and we fancy a very close game between two sides who will feel they can challenge portugal to win the group. serbia have some top players and on home soil we predict they will do enough to get the win and odds of 11/8 look worth taking up.
saturday 15th november
austria v russia
the top two sides in group g do battle and we predict another close game in what is a wide open group, with four sides capable of topping it. the odds men see little in this, the home side priced at 15/8 and the visitors at 13/8 and whilst we’re tempted to predict a draw, on balance we think russia will just edge it.
england v slovenia
england are sitting pretty at the top of group e with three wins from three and at wembley it is unlikely they should be overly troubled by a decidedly average slovenia side. wayne rooney’s domestic suspension means he should be fresh for this and with his reputation as a flat track bully growing we think he will enjoy this chance to move closer to the all-time england top scorer record. our betting tip here is rooney to score first in a game we predict england will win to nil (priced at odds of 20/23 with betvictor).
spain v belarus
for whatever reason spain are struggling at present and with slovakia, who beat spain earlier in the group, flying, they can’t afford too many more slips. they are priced at odds of just 1/14 here, with belarus out at 50/1 and even the draw huge at 10/1. spain will win and they should do so with ease and we predict backing them to win 4-0 and 5-0 (covering both options) should pay dividends at 13/2 and 10/1 respectively with paddy power.
luxembourg v ukraine
luxembourg are yet another side for whom euro 2016 in france is but a distant dream and our prediction for this one is simple: the away win at odds of 2/7, whilst backing ukraine to win to nil is a good way to boost those betting odds.
san marino v estonia
why do luxembourg even bother? pretty much the same reason as san marino do – it gives their players a nice break from running a bar, being an accountant or catching local criminals. san marino are awful and odds of 33/1 reflect that. can they get a draw at 13/2 with sportingbet? nope! back estonia to win to nil here in another one-sided mismatch.
macedonia v slovakia
if slovakia can get a win here they will be in a great position to qualify from group c, probably alongside spain. macedonia are still in the hunt though, although a 3-2 home win over minnows luxembourg suggests the away side can make it four wins out of four and at even money slovakia look a great bet.
switzerland v lithuania
switzerland are available at odds of just 1/4 here so back them to win both halves at longer odds as we predict an easy home win.
sunday 16th november
azerbaijan v norway
sixth play third in group h and norway should prove too fit and too strong, making them a great bet at nice odds of 5/4 here.
belgium v wales
like the other home nations wales are going very well but they face a huge test in belgium. if they can get a draw it would be a very fine result but in truth the strength in depth of the home side should prove too much. hardly a bold prediction but we fancy eden hazard and co are good value at betting odds of 4/11, especially with aaron ramsey not yet hitting top gear.
italy v croatia
this is the pick of sunday’s games and features two sides that should make it to france 2016. italy can be backed at odds of 6/5 here but that looks a shade short to us and we prefer the draw at 23/10.
netherlands v latvia
we predict netherlands will bounce back from an indifferent start in group a that has seen them lose two out of three. that said, it may be tight, and backing under 2.5 goals at long odds is our betting tip here.
cyprus v andorra
not too many people will be interested in this match but for those who are we predict cyprus will win to nil, available at odds of 13/20 with betvictor.
bulgaria v malta
bulgaria will think this is a must-win game if they are to fight their way out of a tough group h and after a tough start to their campaign we think they will relish the chance to rack up a big home win, which is exactly what we predict.
czech republic v iceland
iceland continue to over-perform and we predict they can get a draw here against an average czech outfit, that option available at betting odds of 11/4 with bet365.
israel v bosnia-herzegovina
bosnia have started poorly in group b whilst israel have two wins from two away games, albeit against minnows. they scored a lot in both of those games but also conceded and so our tip here is bosnia to get a much-needed win and both teams to score at big betting odds of 9/2 with paddy power.
turkey v kazakhstan
turkey will have too much class here and that is reflected in odds of just 2/9 with sportingbet for the home win. as with many games this round, the question is how to improve the odds on the favourite and the answer here is to back them to win both halves in a game we predict will end 3-0 to the side who are remarkably bottom of group a at present.
