Premier League Betting including Manchester United v Liverpool - January 2017

Despite falling to a 2-0 defeat at White Hart Lane last Wednesday, Antonio Conte’s Chelsea still top the Premier League by five points. Arsenal and Liverpool, who both drew their matches last time out, failed to take full advantage of the Blues’ defeat in north London but still closed the gap.

We’ll be taking a look at four of the biggest Premier League fixtures of the weekend, as an in-form Tottenham Hotspur welcome West Bromwich Albion and league leaders Chelsea travel to the current champions, Leicester City. Meanwhile, Everton entertain Manchester City and Liverpool make the trip to Old Trafford. Tasty!

Take a look at our live odds comparison, best betting odds, tips, analysis, predictions and more from this weekend’s top Premier League fixtures.

Tottenham Hotspur v West Bromwich Albion

The Premier League weekend gets underway at White Hart Lane this Saturday, as Mauricio Pochettino’s Tottenham Hotspur host Tony Pulis’ West Bromwich Albion. Spurs, who have won their last five PL games, are third, whilst the Baggies sit in a very respectable eighth.

As you would expect, Tottenham are the 4/11 favourites with William Hill to make home advantage count and secure a sixth straight league win. Meanwhile, West Brom are available at 10/1 with Ladbrokes to cause an upset in north London, whereas the draw is priced at 9/2 with Betfred.

Albion may head to the capital in good form, but we can’t see past a Lilywhites victory in this one. Before Chelsea kick off at the King Power Stadium at 5:30, Pochettino’s men could move to just four points behind them in second. With that incentive in mind, we predict Tottenham to win with ease, and we like the look of Betway’s 19/20 for Spurs to win -1.

Leicester City v Chelsea

Saturday’s standout Premier League game comes from the King Power Stadium, as Claudio Ranieri’s champions Leicester City welcome Antonio Conte’s champions-elect Chelsea. Incredibly, the Londoners go into Saturday’s showdown a whopping 28 points above their hosts.

Despite being the champions of England, Leicester are available at 21/4 at BetVictor to claim the three points this weekend. Looking at the live odds comparison, you can even get the draw at the tempting odds of 31/10 with the same bookie.

However, despite falling to their first Premier League defeat since September last time out at Spurs, we believe Conte’s men have what it takes to hit back at the King Power. The Blues are still five points clear at the top, and they are certainly still the team to beat. Sky Bet are offering tasty odds of 8/13 for an away triumph, a price we believe is well worth having a punt on.

Everton v Manchester City

Moving onto Sunday’s fixtures, first up is the tasty looking clash between Ronald Koeman’s Everton and Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City, which takes place at Goodison Park. The Toffees’ league form has certainly picked up of late, and so has City’s. Therefore, we should be in for a cracker in Merseyside.

Since losing in agonising fashion to rivals Liverpool just before Christmas, Everton have won two and drawn one of their last three league encounters. With the top six seemingly a class above, Everton undoubtedly look the best of the rest this season. According to the live odds, the best betting odds you can get on a Toffees victory are 10/3 with Sporting Bet.

As for City, they have improved a lot since losing twice in a week in early December. After losing 4-2 to Leicester, only Liverpool have got the better of the Citizens, as Pep’s side have won five of their last six in all competitions. For those of you who fancy Man City to come out on top at Everton, the best odds you can get are Bet365’s 17/20.

However, our tip is for this one to end all square at Goodison. Only Liverpool have won at the home of the Toffees this term, and the Citizens fell to defeat the last time they were on the road in the PL, which was to Liverpool. The draw is available at the decent odds of 14/5 at BetVictor and that’s our prediction here.

Manchester United v Liverpool

Saving the best until last, great rivals Manchester United and Liverpool go head-to-head at Old Trafford on Sunday evening for what promises to be a blockbuster Premier League affair. Both sides go into Sunday’s showdown in terrific shape, but something has got to give at the Theatre of Dreams.

The Reds have been in tip-top form over the past few months, although they did only manage a 2-2 draw at struggling Sunderland last time out in the Premier League, and a 0-0 draw with Sky Bet League Two outfit Plymouth Argyle in the third round of the Emirates FA Cup on Sunday. Nevertheless, with Chelsea losing at the Lane, Jurgen Klopp’s men are only five points adrift now.

United may have had a slow start under Jose Mourinho, but they have put that to bed in emphatic style over the last month or so. In fact, the Red Devils have not been beaten in the Premier League since a 4-0 drubbing at Stamford Bridge way back in October. Since then, Jose’s boys have won seven and drawn four, which includes winning their last six on the bounce.

The bookies have the home side as the favourites, pricing them at 6/5 (Betfair) for the win. You can get the draw at 5/2 with Betfred. However, we’re predicting the Merseysiders to continue their outstanding form by winning at the home of their rivals on Sunday. As shown in our odds comparison, the best odds you can get on the away victory are 5/2 at Betfred, a price we feel is well worth taking advantage of.
