Tottenham and Chelsea meet on Monday night and it’s always entertaining to see the London rivals go head to head. Spurs are punching well above expectation levels to sit top of the Premier League table although what’s possibly more telling is that Ange Postecoglou’s team are now odds-on to secure a top four finish this term.

All four home games have ended in a victory and Tottenham are warm favourites to continue their 100% home record, although they did have to weather the storm against Manchester United near the beginning of the campaign, while there was plenty of fortune about the way that they beat a nine-man Liverpool side.

Nevertheless, the form of Yves Bissouma, James Maddison and Dejan Kulusevski has been outstanding and the goals of Son Heung-Min means that nobody is talking about the goals that are missing after Harry Kane’s departure. Chelsea will gladly take a point from this fixture, with Mauricio Pochettino returning to his old stomping ground with issues to sort.

The Blues have secured a modest twelve points from ten games played, with form on the road having been better than their results at Stamford Bridge. There were back-to-back wins away to Burnley and Fulham where six goals were scored combined, while the team had more than enough chances to beat Brentford before suffering that 2-0 defeat.
