It’s always worth tuning into a Rome derby and there’s a case to be made for both teams when it comes to this encounter. On the one hand, Lazio have been fairly solid at home recently and have claimed a number of key wins. Torino, Atalanta and Fiorentina have all been beaten, with a Ciro Immobile penalty enough to overcome the latter.

However, it wasn’t a convincing victory and there wasn’t an awful lot to like about a recent 1-0 defeat away to Bologna which saw the Rome side muster just one shot on target. They will come into this clash after a midweek Champions League engagement against Feyenoord and perhaps Roma are better placed to achieve a victory.

That’s especially when you consider that it has been six wins in the past seven games for a team from the Italian capital. Mourinho’s men turned a recent clash against Lecce on its head when scoring two last-gasp goals and a Europa League clash away to Slavia Prague will be forsaken at the expense of this crunch clash.

There’s little doubt that Roma will be targeting a top four spot this term and perhaps Romelu Lukaku can make all the difference. The Belgian has six goals on the board, with Lazio short of someone who can score goals for them this season. Perhaps a Roma win and BTTS No could be a decent option.
