The Scottish Premier League is the highest level of domestic football in Scotland and has long been dominated by Glasgow giants Rangers and Celtic. That all changed in 2012 when Rangers were forced to disband due to financial problems and re-entered Scottish football under new ownership, effectively as a new club, in the fourth tier.

Without one of its biggest sides the Premier League has struggled and whilst Rangers hope to rejoin the top flight in 2015 after three successive promotions, their absence for three years has been seriously felt by them and others alike. Financially, and in terms of prestige, the Premier League has struggled without Rangers and this situation wasn’t helped by the dual relegation in 2014 of Edinburgh’s top two clubs Hearts and Hibs.

For the first time ever Edinburgh’s giants and Rangers are all outside the top flight and in many ways the Scottish Championship may be the more fascinating of the leagues in the 2014-15 season.

In the Premier League many will assume that the title is Celtic’s for the taking and this is certainly true, the Bhoys are red-hot favourites to take a fourth consecutive league title and a 46th in total. Few would predict anything else and we certainly wouldn’t bet against it but for all the best Premier League odds whatever your predictions, you’re in the right place.
