Watford returned to the Premier League at the first time of asking under manager Xisco Munoz, with the Hornets now aiming to finish above three other teams and they have recruited a number of players since achieving promotion including Imran Louza.
Louza arrives from Nantes and should slot into the left side of midfield, with Ismaila Sarr probably the star man and he shone two seasons ago during the doomed Premier League campaign, with Tom Cleverley and Nat Chalobah remaining at Vicarage Road. Munoz is likely to operate with a 4-3-3 formation and that includes Joao Pedro as centre forward.
Aston Villa have turned into Premier League big spenders despite selling Jack Grealish to Manchester City for £100 million, with Danny Ings and Emi Buendia the notable arrivals to Villa Park and that means more goals should be on the cards.
However, we can’t avoid the fact that the Villans will concede a few goals and we’re happy to swerve backing the Midlands side and instead look at the goals angle. Watford will want to start well and get points on the board in front of their home supporters, with this potentially being an open clash.
