Belgium finished top of their qualifying section, claiming six wins and two draws to go through with ease. The Red Devils scored twenty-two goals and conceded just four, with Dominic Tedesco now taking charge of this team for his first international major tournament. There is still plenty of quality in the ranks.
Romelu Lukaku remains a goal-getter with an impressive strike rate for his country, while Kevin De Bruyne is an arch playmaker. It will also be interesting to see whether Leandro Trossard and Jeremy Doku are able to shine on the big stage, with the biggest question mark coming with a defence which could be vulnerable.
Jan Vertonghen is now 37-years-old and is likely to partner Wout Faes in central defence, with Thibaut Courtois a notable omission in goal. However, it might be that they are able to win with something to spare against opponents who don’t boast a huge amount of quality in the ranks, with Francesco Calzona short of firepower in the ranks.
Boavista’s Robert Bozenik could be the man to lead the line, with Tomas Suslov and Lukas Haraslin also likely to be included, while Napoli’s Stanislav Lobotka is the star man and he made 38 appearances for the Serie A team last term. We think a Belgium win to nil could be on the cards here and will bet accordingly.
