The Basketball Champions League is a relatively new basketball competition and sees many leading teams from across Europe competing against each other.

This is essentially the third tier of European club basketball and the competition starts with a first knockout round and a second knockout round before we enter the regular season and there are four groups comprising of eight teams apiece.

Group A features teams such as Dinamo Sassari, Turk Telecom and Baxi Manresa, with the teams playing each other in a round robin format until the top four go through to the next phase of the competition.

Group B has Hapoel Bank Yahav Jerusalem leading the way at the top of the section, with AEK and Rasta Vechta also going well in the group, while Iberostar Tenerife look to be the leading team in Group C after winning their opening four matches.

JDA Dijon and Neptunas are the leading teams in Group D, with the teams at the top then entering the round of 16. This involves teams playing each other home and away before the aggregate scores are calculated and the club with the highest points total goes through to the round of 8.

The same thing happens again before we have the Final Four and the matches involving these teams are played on a neutral venue, with the two semi-finals contested before we have a final and a third-placed game.

During the 2018-19 season, it was Segafredo Virtus Bologna who ended up winning the competition after beating Iberostar Tenerife in the final, with the champions having firstly defeated Brose Bamberg in the semi-finals.

The bookmakers will offer a wide range of betting markets on each Basketball Champions League match so that you can choose the betting odds that suit you best.

There are In-Play betting odds available for each game and there’s often the chance to enjoy live streaming of the action.
