Manchester United have splashed the cash to recruit Raphael Varane and Jadon Sancho this summer, with the former joining Harry Maguire in the engine room and that should make the defence really solid, with Dean Henderson rumoured to be operating in between the sticks instead of David de Gea.

The Red Devils are clearly focused on challenging for the title this season, with Sancho potentially the missing ingredient in attack and his numbers were really impressive for Borussia Dortmund. There is also the predatory instinct of Edinson Cavani in attack and the Uruguayan was highly dangerous at the back end of last season.

Leeds were heavily beaten at Old Trafford last season and Marcelo Bielsa will hope to have Kalvin Phillips available for this clash, with Raphinha and Jack Harrison set to continue where they left off last term and Patrick Bamford has shown that he’s capable of scoring goals at a high level.

United are strong favourites to win, although we think the best way forward could be to back both teams to find the net which is also what happened last term. The Red Devils have many players returning and they are prepared to sacrifice defence for attacking returns.
