Bet on Euro 2020
We’re fast approaching the delayed 2020 European Championship, with the tournament now taking place during the summer of 2021, with twenty-four nations competing across a wide range of countries in a bid to be crowned champions.
It was Portugal who won Euro 2016 in France five years ago and they might be among the teams to beat this time around, with Fernando Santos now looking for Cristiano Ronaldo to spearhead a big success in this tournament.
Euro 2020 kicks off on Friday 11 June when Turkey and Italy meet at the Olimpico in Rome, with the Azzurri enjoying home advantage against their opponents and they’ll also be playing at the same stadium for matches against Switzerland and Wales.
Meanwhile, Belgium are favourites to finish top of Group B, although Denmark, Russia and Finland could all battle it out for second place in what looks to be an open group.
Group C contains the rejuvenated Netherlands, while Ukraine and Austria will also fancy their chances of going through considering that the fourth team in the section will be North Macedonia.
Group D includes England and Croatia who have met in the World Cup semi-final and also the Nations League, with the two nations clashing in their opening match and then facing easier opponents in the form of Czech Republic and Scotland.
Group E contains Spain who are among the favourites to win the competition, with Sweden and Poland also in a tough-looking section, while Group F looks hardest of all considering that Germany, France and Portugal are all involved.
Euro 2020 Outright Betting
France are the outright betting favourites to win Euro 2020, with Les Bleus having won the 2018 World Cup three years ago and they’re expected to put on a strong showing this time around.
Didier Deschamps can call upon the majority of the players that helped the French win this major tournament, with N’Golo Kante and Paul Pogba expected to star in midfield, while Karim Benzema joins Antoine Griezmann and Kylian Mbappe as exciting attacking options.
However, the competition looks fierce and includes England who will have home advantage during the early stages of the competition, with the Three Lions boasting Mason Mount, Phil Foden and Harry Kane as exciting attacking options.
Belgium are also among the outright betting favourites for Euro 2020, with the Red Devils having a sharp shooter in the form of Romelu Lukaku, while it appears that Kevin de Bruyne will be passed fit to line up in midfield and could be joined by a rejuvenated Eden Hazard.
Other leading contenders include Portugal who won Euro 2016 five years ago and Fernando Santos now has an even stronger squad from which to choose. Cristiano Ronaldo continues to spearhead the attack although there is plenty to like about other options including Bruno Fernandes, Diogo Jota and Bernardo Silva.
Italy can’t be easily discounted thanks to a renaissance under Roberto Mancini, with Germany and Spain having almost become forgotten teams for this tournament and perhaps Denmark are the dark horses of the tournament.
Euro 2020 Golden Boot Betting
The 2018 World Cup Golden Boot winner was Harry Kane and the Tottenham striker is the bookmaker’s favourite to secure the top scorer prize at Euro 2020, with the forward likely to operate for England throughout a tournament where Gareth Southgate’s team are one of the favourites.
Kane is clearly a dangerous operator who will be on spot kick duties, although there are others capable of racking up the goals and that includes Romelu Lukaku who looks set to fire plenty of times for an attack-minded Belgium side who filled their boots in qualifying.
There are plenty of French strikers featuring high on the list who are capable of racking up the goals and that includes Karim Benzema who has come in from the cold and looks set to partner Kylian Mbappe and Antoine Griezmann, the latter of whom impressed in the past two tournaments.
Cristiano Ronaldo can spearhead the Portugal attack and the Juventus forward is sure to be on spot kick and free kick duties, while Memphis Depay looks to be the pick of the attacking options for the Netherlands and the Lyon forward has been chipping in with goals recently.
If you’re looking for players at bigger odds, then Phil Foden has the capacity to score for England in the same way as he did for Manchester City, while the same applies to Christian Eriksen who is going to be the focal point of the Denmark attack.
Euro 2020 Player of the Tournament Betting
There is always plenty of clamour surrounding the players who are going to be competing to be named as the star of the tournament, with Kylian Mbappe expected to spearhead the French challenge and the Paris Saint-Germain forward is the market leader when it comes to the Euro 2020 Player of the Tournament.
If France are to shine, you would think he will also do the same, while N’Golo Kante could do the same for Les Bleus and there has been considerable money for the Chelsea man which have seen his odds shrink as a result, with Antoine Griezmann also a potential contender.
If Belgium go deep in the tournament, then it might be Kevin de Bruyne who is instrumental in helping orchestrate affairs, while Romelu Lukaku is another Belgian who can cap off a successful domestic season by plundering goals and winning silverware.
Harry Kane is the main England man and the Three Lions captain could easily enter the reckoning, with Ruben Dias another interesting English Premier League contender, with the Manchester City defender having been regarded as one of the leading players of the 2020-21 season.
Mason Mount and Phil Foden are young English players hoping to make this a breakthrough season and we anticipate Paul Pogba and Bruno Fernandes also standing out for their respective teams.
