Argentina have not turned into a bad team overnight. La Albiceleste took an early lead against Saudi Arabia thanks to a Lionel Messi penalty and the forward had the ball in the net before a disallowed offside call. The same thing happened twice to Lautaro Martinez and the South American side could have ran riot against their opponents on another day.

They are now a backable price to overcome Mexico and get their World Cup campaign back on track. Lionel Scaloni is likely to keep the faith with the majority of the team who lost that opener, with Messi to score anytime likely to be a popular Bet Builder selection. It also seems that Martinez is ripe for goals in this tournament.

The Mexicans landed a draw against Poland and will feel as though a point would be a tremendous outcome in this encounter. However, they had to survive a missed Robert Lewandowski penalty in their opener and didn’t fashion many clear-cut chances. The fear of losing prevented them from being too ambitious.

We will see if they are able to nullify their opponents although it could be worth backing Argentina to win the game without reply. The defence haven’t turned bad overnight and we’re not expecting Emi Martinez to be overly troubled. Any lead is likely to be protected better and you could go down the correct score route here.
