Internazionale have something of a financial crisis on their hands which led to Antonio Conte stepping down as manager shortly after steering the Neroazzurri to the Scudetto last season. Similarly, Romelu Lukaku departed the San Siro to join Chelsea although it appears as though Inter are still going to be a force domestically and in Europe this season.
Simone Inzaghi has taken charge of Inter Milan and they have enjoyed a couple of emphatic wins before standing down for the international break. There was a 4-0 win over Genoa before a 3-1 triumph at Verona, with Joaquin Correa having followed his manager from Lazio to Inter and he’s enjoyed a strong start in front of goal.Edin Dzeko also continues to be a capable operator, with Inter looking like a decent bet on the Asian Handicap market against a Real Madrid side who no longer have Sergio Ramos or Raphael Varane in their ranks, with Los Merengues potentially finding it tough to work their way through the group stage of this competition.
Zinedine Zidane will hope to have Luka Modric available from injury, although this isn’t a particularly united bunch of players and a recent 3-3 draw at Levante exposed the potential defensive creakiness which might plague the team.
