The Netherlands are the big market movers after their last sixteen win over Romania which was coupled with Austria’s exit at the hands of Turkey. It means that Ronald Koeman’s side are warm favourites to take their place at the semi-final stage of the competition, with the Dutch having been comfortable victors in Munich on Tuesday night.

A Cody Gakpo opener was followed by a late brace from Donyell Malen, with a comfortable victory achieved for a team who began the tournament with a win over Poland before a draw against France and then a defeat against Austria. With Virgil van Dijk and Nathan Ake at the back, you might imagine they will defend set pieces well against the Turks.

Vincenzo Montella was under pressure as Turkey manager coming into the tournament although the team opened with a victory over Georgia before recovering from their defeat against Portugal to defeat Czech Republic. Hakan Çalhanoğlu will return to the starting line-up after being suspended against the Austrians although they will be missing others.

Orkun Kökçü and İsmail Yüksek are sidelined for the clash and perhaps this will be a step too far for a Turkish side who might struggle to contain a dangerous Netherlands side, with Cody Gakpo having pilfered three goals for the Netherlands in this tournament. However, perhaps a safer bet is to back goals to be scored in what is likely to be an open encounter.
