France are certain to be lining up at Euro 2024 after five straight wins and it’s little surprise to see them as favourites to win next summer’s tournament. Didier Deschamps is the long-standing manager of the French national side and he can boast a talented squad of players, many of whom helped the European side reach the World Cup final in 2022.

Kylian Mbappe is now the captain of a team who have strength in depth when it comes to all departments, with Olivier Giroud and Antoine Griezmann experienced campaigners who continue to deliver for their country. However, this is a tough assignment in Amsterdam and they come up against a Dutch team with a score to settle.

The way in which the Netherlands lost 4-0 to France back in March will have been tough to take and there was plenty of character shown by the team who came from a goal down to claim a 2-1 win in Dublin last month. However, they might have to contend without Cody Gakpo, while Wout Weghorst might struggle to trouble the French rearguard.

There is a case for backing another France win to nil considering five have been achieved already, although the draw could actually make appeal instead. It’s a result which keeps both teams moving in the same direction, with Ronald Koeman mindful of an upcoming trip to Greece which could represent which side ends up finishing second.
