The 2014 Europa League final will be between Spanish side Sevilla and Portuguese champions Benfica and will take place in the Juventus Stadium in Turin on Wednesday 14th May. Sevilla edged past fellow Spanish side Valencia in their semi final, a goal in the fifth minute of injury time seeing them manoeuvre themselves through to the final, 3-3 on away goals. It looked like they had blown a 2-0 first leg lead when they were 3-0 down on the night, deep into added time, but they broke Valencia hearts to book their place in the final.

There they will meet the Portuguese champions Benfica after the team from Lisbon knocked out the tournament favourites by clinging on for a 0-0 draw at Juventus to go though 2-1 on aggregate despite eight minutes of added time that meant they played for more than half an hour with 10 men.

Benfica themselves are now the favourites, priced at betting odds of 4/5 with Coral, to lift the Europa League and at best odds of 7/5 with Paddy Power to win in 90 minutes. The draw can be backed at around 5/2 on the betting exchanges whilst underdogs Sevilla are 28/13 with 888sport.

We think Benfica are a great bet to do the business in 90 minutes, with the confidence of having seen off Juventus and being crowned domestic champions yet again enough to see them edge it against a Sevilla side currently fifth in La Liga.
