eintracht frankfurt v borussia dortmund - dortmund to win and over 2.5 goals

after battling to a hard earned 1-0 win over rb leipzig in their first match back following the winter break, dortmund were back to their free-flowing best last weekend as they put hannover to the sword with a 5-1 win at home. dortmund know they must keep the wins coming as there is no sign of bayern munich slowing down as they try to close the six point gap between the bundesliga’s first and second placed teams.

dortmund will certainly need to keep their standards high against frankfurt as they are an exciting side capable of scoring against anybody. dortmund are a class above though so it’s no surprise that our odds comparison shows they are the narrow favourites to win. if you’re looking for an entertaining match, this is the one to watch. coupling a bet on goals with an away win looks the best betting option with the dortmund win and over 2.5 goals being scored well priced at best betting odds of 15/8.

barcelona v valencia - barcelona -1 goal

barcelona have finally hit their stride. ernesto valverde has managed to quieten the grumblings of discontent from elements of the barcelona support with the team on a run of eight straight wins. valencia are the next team tasked with stopping barcelona when they travel to the camp nou on saturday afternoon.

marcelinho is working hard behind the scenes to try and strengthen his valencia squad in the transfer window. it’s unlikely he’ll be able to add anyone in time to face barcelona or that it would make much difference anyway. all but one of barcelona’s recent wins came with a margin of at least two goals so take the football odds of 8/11 available on barcelona winning with a one goal handicap applied.

man city v arsenal - man city to win to nil

some arsenal fans have already grown tired of unai emery and are calling for the spaniard to be sacked. that is a crazy state of affairs given the size of the job facing emery but there is no doubt that arsenal remain a long way behind the sides challenging for the premier league title.

that much will be made clear by man city on sunday afternoon. at least, that is what our odds comparison suggests. the home side are the overwhelming favourites at a general 1/4. man city will be looking to heap the pressure on liverpool ahead of their title rivals’ match with west ham on monday night and can do so by beating arsenal to nil at 7/5.

roma v ac milan - the draw

just one point separates roma and ac milan in the table and the two meet at the stadio olimpico on sunday evening. these two giants of italian football are relatively happy to be competing for a place in the top four of serie a but in reality they have a lot of improvement to make to catch the teams above them.

both sides come into this match in pretty good form so will be feeling positive about their chances of securing a good result. they may have to be content with sharing the spoils though as a draw looks on the cards at best betting odds of 13/5.

lyon v psg - both teams to score

the bookies may as well have paid out on psg winning the ligue 1 title as soon as the season kicked off. it will be some time before the parisians are not crowned the french champions but they are not the only quality side in ligue 1. lyon are some 16 points behind the leaders but will fancy their chances of giving psg a bloody nose when they meet at the parc olympic stadium.

psg are unbeaten thus far in ligue 1 and are unlikely to have that record ended on sunday evening. they may find it tough to keep a clean sheet though as lyon are one of ligue 1’s top goalscorers and have scored in each of their last six matches. psg may well win but the safest option here may well be both teams to score at solid odds of 1/2.

closing paras:

man city have the chance to keep the pressure up on liverpool in the race for the premier league title this week. the citizens are the clear favourites to beat arsenal on sunday but need to be on their guard for the visit of the gunners. the same is true of barcelona who must avoid complacency when valencia visit the camp nou.

the title races may well be all-but over in both italy and france but psg know they’ll be in for a tough match away to lyon whereas juventus will watch on with intrigue as roma and ac milan go head to head. meanwhile in germany, borussia dortmund face a test against frankfurt as they look to maintain their lead over bayern munich.
