Milan might have reached the Champions League semi-finals last season but it appears that the Rossoneri are likely to miss out on the knockout stage of the competition unless matters improve. There have been no goals scored and it’s possible that Stefano Pioli’s side will need to claim a win against Paris Saint-Germain in order to stand any chance of qualifying.
Milan are not without a hope and their domestic form has been fairly strong, with the team recording seven wins from their ten Serie A clashes that have been played. However, things have gone slightly awry in recent weeks thanks to a 1-0 defeat by Juventus and a 3-0 Champions League reverse at the Parc des Princes.
The Rossoneri were two up away to Napoli before being pegged back and they now need to overcome a PSG side who have got on to a winning streak. Plenty of goals have been scored in recent games to overcome Milan and a bunch of domestic opponents, with Kylian Mbappe now on fifteen for the season and he’s recently enjoyed scoring in five consecutive matches.
The visitors might set up a bit differently to the team that lined up at St James’ Park and were roundly beaten by a 4-1 scoreline. The fact that PSG conceded four in Newcastle and five in total on the road in Ligue 1 means that Milan may well score their first goal of the UCL campaign although a win + BTTS for Paris could be the bet to have.
