Chelsea’s season is going far worse than anyone expected. The Blues sit mid-table in the Premier League and have no chance of qualifying for the Champions League. That’s unless they actually win this season’s European Cup, with Graham Potter bidding to engineer a victory over Borussia Dortmund after the German side claimed a first leg victory.
The visitors are now Champions League betting favourite to overcome Chelsea on aggregate, with Jude Bellingham hoping to help his team reach the last eight stage of the competition. However, perhaps this is the game where Potter’s fortunes at Stamford Bridge change and the team spent big in the January window.
This tie could still go either way and an early Chelsea goal could lead to the contest being end-to-end. Borussia Dortmund are famed for an attack-minded approach and the best bet could be BTTS Yes or alternatively wagering on Over 2.5 Goals. However, it’s hard to be confident that the English side can get the job done.
It will be interesting to see whether Raheem Sterling can shine, with the England forward having recently come back into the team although Thiago Silva could be a doubt for this clash and that could leave a hole in the Chelsea defence. It could pay to back Dortmund to qualify for the last eight of the competition considering they’re already a goal to the good.
