On the face of it, there is no contest. Despite Dortmund being an extremely capable side who brushed aside Jose Mourinho’s Real Madrid at the semi-final stage, the fact remains Bayern have won the Bundesliga by a country mile. Add to that their triumphs over Barcelona home and away (by a 7-0 aggregate scoreline) and Jupp Heynckes’ side are the rightful favourites to be victorious at Wembley on the 25th May. The German champions can be backed at very decent betting odds of 10/11 with Paddy Power, which has to be worth grabbing with both hands.
The only reason Bayern’s odds aren’t shorter is that Dortmund have beaten them four times in the last five meetings, drawing the other. For all’s Bayern’s supremacy in the German top flight, they haven’t been able to get the better of Borussia Dortmund since February 2010. Jürgen Klopp will therefore be hoping his side’s good form against Bayern continues, and if you think it will you can back the underdogs at best betting odds of 18/5 with BetVictor.
Overall though we feel it is Bayern’s time to shine, and while the draw might tempt some at odds of 11/4, also with BetVictor, we are backing the side from Bavaria to win in 90 minutes, with 3-1 our predicted scoreline.
