Arsenal mustered an excellent victory in Dortmund when the sides met earlier in the month, their 1-0 victory sweet revenge for their home defeat at the hands of Jurgen Klopp’s side just two weeks before. With Arsenal already on top of the group (though level on points with Napoli) and likely to get a win against Marseille, Dortmund know defeat here is likely to see them knocked out of Europe’s elite club competition.
Napoli, meanwhile, will not fancy having to rely on gaining points from their final group game against the Gunners (albeit on home soil) after losing 2-0 to Arsene Wenger’s men in North London. They may have to if the bookies are to be believed though, with Dortmund priced as the strong favourites at betting odds of just 4/7 with Pinnacle. This compares to a healthy 99/19 for Napoli to win or 7/2 for the draw.
While Dortmund should have enough to get the points given they have gained six wins from six at home in the Bundesliga, we can’t see any value in backing them at odds that short and think the draw is far more appealing. Napoli boss Rafa Benitez is a master at setting his teams out to grind out a result against superior opposition and backing the draw at betting odds of 7/2 looks like a great way to make a healthy profit.
