Newcastle United have enjoyed a memorable Champions League campaign thus far and that has included taking four points against Paris Saint-Germain. It really should have been a maximum haul considering the nature of the equaliser at the Parc des Princes, although the home fans will be eager to roar the team to victory against Italian opposition.

The Magpies are strong favourites to enjoy a three-point return against a Milan side who will still fancy their chances of going through. While the Rossoneri are big outsiders, they were by far the better team in the reverse fixture at the San Siro which ended in a goalless draw. There’s also the fact that Nick Pope is out injured.

Pope’s heroic saves were able to earn that point in the group opener although the bookies still think that Newcastle are probable winners of this clash. There is plenty to like about the team from an attacking point-of-view, with Alexander Isak being flanked by the likes of Miguel Almiron and Anthony Gordon, with Milan’s defence sure to be tested.

The Rossoneri have nothing to lose from going for a victory of their own in this clash and the big issue is that Milan have only scored three goals during the group stage. However, the handbrake is likely to come off here and it could be worth looking at a bet on Over 3.5 Goals and also the distinct prospect that both teams will find the net here.
