Leipzig are not going to qualify for the last sixteen stage of the Champions League after three consecutive defeats although there has been plenty of spirit shown by a German Bundesliga side who are adjusting to life after Julian Nagelsmann left to take charge of the powerhouse that is Bayern Munich.

Jesse Marsch has transferred from Red Bull Salzburg to try and work his magic with the German side and they have so far been involved in three entertaining clashes despite them all ending in defeat. First came a 6-3 defeat away to Manchester City before a surprise 2-1 home reverse against Club Bruges and then there was a 3-2 reverse away to PSG.

Even so, we should expect them to have a puncher’s chance against a Paris Saint-Germain side who are far from convincing at this stage. They could only draw 1-1 with Club Bruges and, despite beating Man City 2-0, they needed some Lionel Messi magic to win the most recent clash.

Perhaps the Argentine will be the difference in this clash although we are going to plump for four or more goals to be scored during the ninety minutes. A high-scoring clash looks practically certain as Leipzig throw all caution to the wind after a pointless start.
