It’s been a strong start to the season for Real Madrid and that’s from a domestic and European point-of-view. Los Merengues have secured qualification for the knockout stage of the Champions League with games to spare, although Carlo Ancelotti’s side are still warm favourites to get the better of a Napoli side who also have breathing space in Group C.
The Naples team were the runaway winners of the Scudetto last season, although things have been somewhat different this time around. Walter Mazzarri has recently returned to the Diego Maradona Stadium to replace Rudi Garcia, with the former Watford boss having previously enjoyed a successful spell at the club between 2019-2013.
The Champions League betting sites are anticipating a high-scoring encounter and it’s easy to see that happening considering that the two teams played out a five-goal thriller in the reverse fixture. Jude Bellingham missed out on England duty over the international break although the midfielder should be fit to line up here.
Perhaps Ancelotti will give his star man the night off considering that there’s nothing at stake, although we would still lean towards a high-scoring clash at the Bernabeu. This is something of a free hit for Napoli who were able to claim four points from two games against Union Berlin in order to put them in the box seat to finish second.
