Leeds bounced back from their 5-1 mauling at the hands of Manchester United by drawing 2-2 with Everton last weekend and we’re predicting that they’ll now claim a victory at Turf Moor. Marcelo Bielsa hasn’t changed last season’s squad a great deal, although Raphinha, Matheus Klich and Patrick Bamford are all capable operators who can cause Burnley problems in this clash.
Sean Dyche saw his Clarets team compete well when losing 2-0 at Anfield, although they were made to pay for not putting Brighton away in their opening match when leading 1-0 and this looks a tough assignment for a team who are yet to register a point and they have also failed to strengthen a squad who could be set for a return to the Championship this term.
We think Leeds could build on last weekend’s result, especially after twice coming from behind to claim a point against the Toffees. Bielsa will hope that the pre-season training starts to kick in and he will also want Liam Cooper to avoid giving away the sort of penalties that Everton profited from at Elland Road, with the visitors likely to be cheered on by thousands of noisy supporters.
