Anfield has largely been a fortress for Liverpool this season although the past two encounters have seen the Reds humbled at home to Atalanta and Crystal Palace. Since then, Jurgen Klopp’s side have been on the road four times and the victories in Italy and Fulham were followed by a defeat in the Merseyside derby and then a 2-2 draw at West Ham.
There was a fall out between Klopp and Mohamed Salah when it came to the latter fixture, with the Egyptian being brought on as a late substitute and it will be interesting to see whether the forward regains his place in the Starting 11. Liverpool have the potential to make hay against an opposing team who are defensively porous right now.
Ange Postecoglou is unrepentant when it comes to playing an attacking brand of football, with the Australian having players that can cause Liverpool’s defence some damage. Perhaps Tottenham will be encouraged by the way in which they rallied in the North London derby against Arsenal and only lost 3-2 in the end.
The best bet could be Liverpool + BTTS Yes which is available at a much bigger price than simply backing the Reds to achieve a victory. There’s the alternatively to get an odds-against quote for the Merseyside team to lead at half-time and full-time should you think that they’ll get off to a fast start in this encounter.
