Manchester City were able to win last season’s Premier League title with 89 points and they’re on course to secure 91 points this time around. Pep Guardiola’s side have once again been a winning machine this season, with eight consecutive top-flight victories being enjoyed since a goalless draw at home to Arsenal.
Their recent Premier League wins have all been achieved by a margin of two goals or more, with a 2-0 victory at Tottenham not achieved too easily, although this came after a 4-0 win at Fulham and a 5-1 victory over Wolves. Erling Haaland has passed the 40-goal mark in all competitions and it’s hard to see anything other than a home win here.
Punters looking for better value than simply backing a Manchester City win might consider them to lead at half-time and full-time. Alternatively, this could turn into a procession and perhaps backing the Cityzens on the Asian Handicap could be a decent bet, with the champions capable of covering the -2.5 goal line.
West Ham have avoided defeat in 50% of their away games this season and they recovered from a six-game winless run to defeat Luton Town 3-1, with the Hammers coming from behind to claim a victory. They did also recently hold Liverpool to a 2-2 draw at the London Stadium although a 5-0 hammering at Chelsea in their last away game won’t give much encouragement to Arsenal fans.
