Norwich City are not completely down and out at this early point in the football season. The Canaries still have twenty-nine games left to improve on some poor showings this term, although they have held Brighton and Burnley to goalless draws, so they haven’t always been out of their depth in Premier League clashes.
It’s clear that Daniel Farke’s side need a win and perhaps the 7-0 defeat at Chelsea isn’t an accurate barometer as to how their season might unfold. However, Ben Gibson is suspended for the encounter and plain fact is that Norwich have only managed to score two goals thus far.
Norwich aren’t the sort of team who are going to rack up 1-0 victories, while Leeds are also having problems finding the net. Marcelo Bielsa’s side only have a return of seven points from nine games played, although they came back strongly against Wolves to draw at Elland Road and there was plenty to like about nineteen-year-old Joe Gelhardt who shone brightly and won a penalty against Wanderers.
We’re expecting a fairly tight game at Carrow Road and the draw seems to be the best play here. It could feasibly be a 1-1 scoreline which wouldn’t particularly benefit either side, although Norwich will want to run a tight ship.
