We’ve got an interesting Nations League fixture taking place on Friday 23 September, with Italy hosting England in a repeat of last year’s Euro 2020 final. Roberto Mancini guided his country to success when beating the Three Lions in a penalty-shootout in the final, although he failed to guide the country through to the 2022 World Cup.

Mancini retains the goodwill of the Italian FA and will hope to get some positive results from upcoming matches against England and Hungary. Italy could be a good bet to get the victory against the Three Lions considering they drew 1-1 with Germany before a 2-1 win over Hungary and we shouldn’t forget the performances of that European Championship.

England are certainly more focused on the 2022 World Cup rather than these Nations League clashes, although Southgate will want to see a strong defence and we could see Milan’s Fikayo Tomori feature at his home ground, with Harry Maguire’s spot in the team certainly open to question.

We might well see another goalless draw in Milan and it pays to go down the No Goalscorer route rather than back the 0-0 on the Correct Score market. A low-scoring clash would make sense considering that both sides will want to go back to defensive basics and we’ll see lots of substitutions made.
