Tottenham Hotspur failed to score in their first two Champions League away games this season. They were beaten 2-0 away to Sporting CP and they then played out a goalless draw away to Eintracht Frankfurt. Their European travel sickness appeared to be continuing when falling behind in Marseille only to scramble a victory in the end.

Not only did Spurs make the last sixteen of the Champions League but they also went through as group winners. They will now travel to the San Siro Stadium on Tuesday 14 February for the first leg of their last sixteen encounter against Milan, with the bookies expecting this to be a tight clash.

There is no away goals rule in place in Europe anymore, with the bookies leaning towards the idea of both teams scoring in this clash. At the time of writing, the Rossoneri have won six of their seven Serie A clashes at the San Siro, although they were soundly beaten at home to Graham Potter’s Chelsea in a game which saw Fikayo Tomori sent off.

Milan notably thrashed Red Bull Salzburg 4-0 in their Match Day 6 game in a game which Olivier Giroud was able to bag a brace and the Frenchman will have extra motivation to find the net having previously been an Arsenal player who faced Tottenham in various north London derbies. A first leg draw could be the bet to place.
