The Confederation Cup is being held in Brazil from 15th to the 30th June as a test run for next year’s World Cup. The tournament is being contested by eight teams, hosts Brazil along with the winners (and runners-up in some cases) of the various FIFA competitions. We will have all the betting odds for the outright market as well as for every match as Spain, Uruguay and Italy all attempt to become only the third team to win all three major FIFA tournaments, the World Cup, the Olympics and this.
Spain, of course, are the current champions of both the world and Europe, and look good to continue their dominance here. Though it will not be easy, especially as they face current Copa America champions Uruguay in their opening match. They also have Nigeria and Tahiti in their group, but neither should have enough to make it to the knockout stages ahead of the other – far stronger – sides.
Hosts Brazil are also well-fancied to top their group, which also includes Japan, Mexico and Italy, but there could yet be a surprises in store and any of those sides are capable of producing an upset on their day.
