31/03/19 Betting Odds Tips

Roma v Napoli - The Draw

Juventus may have lost their first Serie A match of the season before the international break but nobody is in any doubt that the Old Lady will win the scudetto. Carlo Ancelotti’s Napoli know there is no chance of them overhauling the 15 point gap between themselves and the league leaders and are concentrating on securing second place.

Napoli’s patchy recent form has opened the door to the chasing pack and they’ll need to be at their best against Roma on Sunday afternoon. The Giallorossi have struggled to get going this season but it’s all systems go for an assault on the top four and a place in next season’s Champions League.

Roma have scored in nine of their 11 matches against their fellow top eight sides so the home fans will feel quietly confident about their chances. Our odds comparison paints a different picture as Napoli are the favourites. However, that suggests Roma are good value to pick up a point at 12/5.

Inter Milan v Lazio - Inter to Win and Over 2.5 Goals

The battle for the top four goes all the way down to Lazio in seventh. Simeone Inzaghi’s men have the quality to pick up another huge three points when they travel to San Siro to take on Inter and the football betting odds suggest they have a fighting chance at a best price of 12/5. Lazio’s problems this season have been less about a lack of quality though and more about a lack of confidence.

Lazio’s record against the six teams above them is far from encouraging. The 3-0 derby win over Roma is their only victory and save for a home draw against AC Milan, they’ve lost every other match. Inter’s record against the other teams in the top four battle is significantly better but Sunday’s match is the first of five such matches still to come. Luciano Spalletti’s men have been involved in some thoroughly entertaining matches and can come out on top in another so back Inter to win and over 2.5 goals to be scored at best betting odds of 13/5.

1st – 2nd December 2018 Odds

Fiorentina v Juventus – Under 2.5 Goals

Juventus extended their unbeaten run with their 12th win in 13 games last weekend. The home match against SPAL was hardly the most challenging match of the Old Lady’s season and they will be made to work harder away to Fiorentina. The home side are on a decent unbeaten run of five matches but, incredibly, they’ve drawn them all either 1-1 or 0-0. Fiorentina average just 0.5 goals conceded per game at the Stadio Artemio Franchi and should keep the scoring down on Saturday so take the best betting odds of 4/5 available on under 2.5 goals.

Roma v Inter Milan – Roma to Win

Roma have been disappointing this season and, with just one win in their last five matches, are the underdogs against Inter Milan according to our odd comparison. Despite the nine point gap between the two teams, Roma will be looking forward to the match. Their only home match against the current top two ended in a 3-1 win in the derby against Lazio and they look a good price to win this one at 17/10. Inter are a very well drilled team but could fall short after a tough match against Tottenham on Wednesday night.

Atalanta v Napoli – Over 3.5 Goals

Napoli have to wait until Monday night for the chance to try and keep the pressure up on Juventus. Serie A’s second place team are already facing an uphill battle to close the gap between themselves and the runaway leaders and will need to be at their best against Atalanta. Gian Piero Gasperini’s men are very tough to predict but tend to save their best for the biggest matches. This should be an entertaining match so backing the football odds of 7/4 available on over 3.5 goals could return nicely.

10th-11th 2018 Odds Comparison

Genoa v Napoli – Napoli -1 Goal

Napoli were more than a little fortunate to escape with a point from Tuesday’s Champions League match against PSG. Lorenzo Insigne’s penalty that secured the 1-1 draw was a very good result for their European ambitions and they can do their domestic ambitions the power of good by taking all three points against Genoa. Our odds comparison show Napoli are the clear favourites across the board but you can squeeze a bit more value from Carlo Ancelotti’s men by backing them to beat 13th placed Genoa with a one goal handicap at 6/4.

Atalanta v Inter – Under 2.5 Goals

Inter continue to hunt down Juventus at the Serie A summit. Last week’s 5-0 win over Genoa was Inter’s seventh in a row and they’re the odds on favourites to extend that run to eight over Atalanta. The home side are in good form themselves though and will offer stern resistance in Bergamo. Atalanta’s good form this season has been built on a solid defence. It will be tough for Inter to break the hosts down so the best betting odds for this match look to be the 10/11 available on under 2.5 goals.

AC Milan v Juventus – The Draw

Juventus continue to set the pace at the top of Serie A. Max Allegri’s unbeaten side are racing certainties to win the title yet again but they face a tough test on Sunday against AC Milan. Gennaro Gattuso has managed to turn things around with Milan who have won five of their last six matches. Rumours about Arsene Wenger taking over at San Siro persist but Gattuso can do his chances of remaining in the job the power of good by masterminding a draw against Juve at football betting odds of 13/5.

27th-28th October 2018 Odds including Napoli vs Roma

Empoli v Juventus – Juventus -1 Goal

Empoli bounced back from the disappointment of relegation at in 2017 to regain their Serie A status last season. Their chances of remaining in the top flight already look slim and they’re highly unlikely to add to their points tally when they take on Juventus on Saturday. The Old Lady handed out a lesson to Man Utd in the Champions League on Tuesday and will be looking for another comfortable win having beaten Empoli 5-0 on aggregate two years ago. Our odds comparison shows Juve are the clear favourites so backing them with a one goal handicap is a sensible play at 8/11.

Napoli v Roma – Napoli 2-0 Correct Score

Two of Serie A’s Champions League teams meet on Sunday evening when Roma travel to Naples. While the Romans continue to frustrate their fans with some inconsistent performances, Napoli are really hitting their stride under the management of Carlo Ancelotti. Take the 3-1 loss to Juventus out of the picture and Napoli have conceded just one goal in six matches, scoring 12 in the process. Napoli are gunning for another title push and can show their class with a 2-0 win at tempting football odds of 9/1.

AC Milan v Sampdoria – Under 2.5 Goals

The revival in AC Milan’s fortunes came to an end last weekend when they lost the derby to Inter 1-0. A run of six matches unbeaten prior to that means the San Siro crowd are slowly becoming more positive but they will expect a quick return to winning ways against Sampdoria. That’s easier than said than done against a team who are performing above expectations and have conceded just one goal in four games. The bookies’ odds suggest this will be a high scoring clash but it could be worth going against the football odds and backing under 2.5 goals at the big price of 6/5.

Italian Serie A Odds Comparison – 6th – 7th October 2018 Tips

Udinese v Juventus – Juventus to Win and Over 2.5 Goals

It was a case of no Cristiano, no problem for Juventus, who won their second Champions League game 3-0 thanks to a hat-trick from Paulo Dybala. Ronaldo will come straight back into the team for Saturday’s Serie A match away to Udinese which spells trouble for the hosts. Udinese go into the game on the back of two straight defeats and while they may manage a goal at Stadio Friuli, Juve’s firepower will prove too strong. So, consider backing Juventus to win and over 2.5 goals to be scored at best betting odds of 11/10.

Empoli v Roma – Roma -1 Goal

Roma have struggled for their best stuff so far this season so it was to the delight of everybody at the club that the giallorossi finally clicked into gear with wins in last weekend’s Rome derby Tuesday night’s 5-0 win over Plzen. That thumping win should give Roma a tangible boost as they look to climb the Serie A table. Our odds comparison shows that Eusebio di Francesco’s men are already the firm favourites to beat Empoli on Saturday but we think they’ll do more than just win. We predict Roma will win comfortably so we recommend betting on them with a one goal handicap at betting odds of 9/5.

Napoli v Sassuolo – Over 3.5 Goals

Two of Serie A’s entertainers meet on Sunday at Stadio San Paolo. Napoli have taken to life under Carlo Ancelotti very well and while they are six points behind Juventus in the title race, they do look the best of the rest in Serie A. Sassuolo’s early season form has been even more surprising. They go into Sunday’s game just two points behind Napoli and you can be sure they’ll be targeting another positive result. This should be a cracker so the 11/10 available on over 3.5 goals could be the best football odds of the weekend.

Midweek Serie A Betting Odds Tips

Inter Milan v Fiorentina – Draw

Tuesday night in Serie A sees Tottenham’s Champions League conquerors Inter Milan host Stefano Piolo’s Fiorentina. The club from Florence made a strong start to the campaign, winning their opening two matches, but have since faltered, losing one and drawing one. Inter, meanwhile have only won once in the league from their opening four, against Bologna, but after their success against Spurs we can see them raising their game enough to avoid defeat. With the visitors likely to play it safe, our betting tip here is for the match to finish level.

Juventus v Bologna – Juventus to win and both teams to score

Serie A table-toppers Juventus have started the new season in fine fettle, winning four out of four in the league and getting a fine 2-0 triumph at Valencia in the Champions League. There is no doubt in our minds that Massimiliano Allegri’s men will be too hot for Bologna to handle, but we think the visitors will surprise La Vecchia Signora by getting themselves a consolation goal. Backing the home side to win with both teams to score is our betting tip here at big betting odds.

Napoli v Parma – Draw and both teams to score

Third place Napoli host a struggling Parma side on Wednesday with the home team the strong favourites to get the three points. We think Parma are not as bad as their league position suggests, however. They won 1-0 at Inter Milan recently, which is no mean feat, and only lost 2-1 to Juventus. Roberto D’Aversa’s men are far from the best in Italian football at the moment, but we think they can mix it will Napoli here and we’re predicting a score draw here at nice betting odds (see odds comparison for prices).

In Italy the passion for football (or soccer, if you must) and betting is almost unsurpassed, and their top division – Serie A – is a hotbed of energetic play and vociferous support. Widely regarded as the best league in the world in terms of the standard of play for much of the 1990s, it has since been usurped by Spain’s La Liga (and also overtaken by the English Premier League and the German Bundesliga).

Having said that, there are still many fine players, some top-class teams and – of course - a wide range of betting opportunities. That’s where we come in: our live betting odds comparison service helps you find the best odds whether you are backing Inter to win the next Milan derby or Juventus to win the title.

Serie A consists of 20 teams who play one another twice (home and away) each season. Juventus are the most successful Italian side, having won the championship far more times than any other side, with the Milan duo of AC Milan and Internazionale both aiming to close in on their record, but it won’t happen anytime soon.
