Liverpool are priced at football betting odds of 6/1 to land the quadruple right now. The Reds have made excellent progress in all competitions and have already notched an EFL Cup along the way when beating Chelsea in the final. That was only on spot kicks and perhaps the odds shouldn’t be as wide between the favourites and the underdogs here.

Jurgen Klopp’s side have certainly enjoyed the winning habit for much of the season although they haven’t found life easy against Thomas Tuchel’s side. There was a 1-1 draw at Anfield during the early stage of the season where Chelsea were the better team until being reduced to ten men.

More recently, there was a 2-2 draw at Stamford Bridge where Chelsea clawed back a 2-0 deficit, while they could easily have won the EFL Cup in what was an even tussle before that marathon penalty shootout which went the way of Liverpool thanks to a goalkeeper tussle.

Why Are Liverpool Big FA Cup Betting Favourites?

The bookmakers think that Liverpool are heavily likely to lift the trophy and that’s partly down to them being in the best form. The psychological advantage of getting the better of Chelsea at Wembley could count for something, while the Reds have also navigated their way through to the Champions League final albeit against easier opponents.

It is clear that the signing of Luis Diaz has given the team an extra attacking dimension, while Thiago Alcantra has played his best football for the club this season and the team have a defence which simply don’t concede many goals, with Virgil van Dijk proving on a consistent basis that he’s one of the world’s best defenders.

There is also Chelsea’s inconsistency and that partly stems from the ownership issues and the fact that many squad members will be leaving the club in the summer. Antonio Rudiger, Cesar Azpilicueta and Romelu Lukaku are just three players eyeing the exit door at this stage in proceedings.

It’s hard to make too strong a case for Chelsea who have been on something of a downward spiral since losing the EFL Cup. However, there are big game players within the squad and perhaps we will see another entertaining clash even if the EFL Cup finished goalless after 120 minutes.
