Twenty-four teams will line up at Euro 2024 and there's a growing interest in the outright betting market for the tournament. Italy were successful at Euro 2020 and the Azzurri are among the favourites to enjoy a repeat success, although it's Germany who have home advantage and perhaps we'll see a strong showing for the hosts after a disappointing 2022 World Cup.

The bookies respect the chances of France who were the furthest-progressing European side in Qatar, with Les Bleus reaching the final of the tournament before losing to Argentina. Didier Deschamps is the long-standing manager of a team who are now captained by Kylian Mbappe and it's clear that they will set a strong standard when it comes to this event.

However, perhaps it's England's time to finally shine. The Three Lions were only narrowly beaten by Les Bleus in the World Cup last winter and they boast incredible players such as Declan Rice, Jude Bellingham, Bukayo Saka and Harry Kane. Gareth Southgate's team are certainly respected in the market although there could be defensive issues.

Spain should also be a team capable of going deep in the European Championship, with the bookmakers all offering an outright betting market. At a bigger price, Netherlands and Belgium will also be looking to make inroads and they will be afforded a top seeding when the draw takes place. Denmark and Croatia also have a track record of faring well in major tournaments.
