Real Betis finished sixth in last season’s La Liga and that means that Manuel Pellegrini’s side have a really hectic fixture schedule, including this midweek engagement against Valencia. They’re big favourites to win at Estadio Benito Villamarín although we think that there’s a strong business case for the game ending all square rather than backing the home victory.

After all, Los Verdiblancos have only won one of their four home clashes this season, with this being their third consecutive clash in front of their own supporters after meeting Leverkusen and Rayo Vallecano. At the time of writing, they have won four of their previous five encounters.

However, Valencia are only three points worse off and they have avoided defeat in three of their five away matches this term. Los Che can take advantage of the fact that they are fresher, having secured a goalless draw away to Cadiz in their previous away match and José Bordalás will be focused on making sure the team come away with a point.

Quite simply, Betis might be feeling fatigue after a run of fixtures which could have them running out of steam when it comes to this engagement. There have already been stutters against Cadiz, Real Madrid and Espanyol.
