There’s a definite argument for siding with Real Betis when it comes to this La Liga clash at the weekend. The visitors will be going for victory at the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán and they have not tasted defeat in any competition since losing at Rangers towards the end of September. Since then, it has been a succession of wins and draws.

There were 1-1 draws achieved away to Alaves and Getafe before home wins over Osasuna and Mallorca, with Willian Jose in excellent form and he’s scored six goals in his past three matches. The plain fact is that this team have avoided defeat in 66% of their away games this season and Sevilla are not pulling up any trees.

Sevilla are fifteenth in the standings and Los Rojiblancos have been stumbling along in La Liga, with that 5-1 win over Almeria something of an outlier at the end of September. This came comes relatively hard on the heels of a midweek trip to Arsenal in the Champions League and it’s easy enough to oppose the home side.

The best bet of all could be to back the draw, with Betis more adept at landing a point than all three on the road, while Sevilla could well find themselves struggling to break down organised opponents. However, there could be a case for siding with the visitors on the Asian Handicap market with half a goal start.
