The ATP World Tour Finals got underway on Sunday with routine wins for both Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer and with the final on the 22nd November we take a look at the outright winner betting and serve up our top betting tips and predictions.

Djokovic has had a sensational year, with three Grand Slams, a record six Masters titles and 10 tournament victories in total. His lead at the top of the ATP rankings is staggering and so it’s no real surprise to see him is as the heavy odds-on favourite here. His record indoors in recent years is unbelievable and included in that are his three consecutive victories at this tournament.

He is currently available at hard-to-believe odds of just 2/5 with Sky Bet and the mad thing is that even at those odds few are likely to bet against him. Djokovic is in a league of his own at the moment and is certainly a worthy favourite and whilst we predict there is a huge chance he will make it four ATP World Tour Finals titles in a row, at those odds we just have to look elsewhere.

Under normal circumstances world number two Andy Murray would be our choice and the Scot can be backed at tempting odds of 16/1 with Sportingbet. However, Murray has played a lot of tennis recently and his mind is sure to be partly focussed on the upcoming Davis Cup final. Subconsciously or otherwise he may just hold a little energy back for that and as such we think Murray is best avoided, especially given his mediocre record in this event over the years (he has never made the final).

The second favourite for this year’s ATP World Tour Finals is Federer, the Swiss legend having tasted outright glory in this event six times previously, with two wins in each of London, Shanghai and Houston. Federer is priced at odds of 4/1 with Coral and given he will avoid Djokovic in the semis he just has to be the call here, with an each way bet worth a pop at 1/3 the odds if the Swiss maestro makes the final.

He will probably face Murray, Stan Wawrinka or Rafa Nadal in the semi-final and we predict he would beat whichever of those Grand Slam champions he comes up against. A final appearance would leave you in profit and on the off chance he was able to prevail in a final against Djokovic you would really be in the money and as such our main betting tip in this year’s ATP World Tour Finals outright betting is an each way wager on the world number three.

If you want an alternative to Djokovic at even longer odds then Wawrinka at 16/1 with either 10bet or Sportingbet would appear to be the best option. Wawrinka is somewhat mercurial but at his powerful, bruising best he can get the better of anyone and plays the likes of Djokovic and Federer with no fear whatsoever. He is almost certain to face one of those in the semi and the other in the final, which indicates the size of his task, but odds of 16/1 are worth an each way punt if you think Federer is a shade too short in the outright market.
