Premier League Betting Odds Comparison for 3rd-5th March 2018

01/03/2018 08:35

the standout premier league encounter of the weekend is the blockbuster showdown between pep guardiola’s manchester city and antonio conte’s chelsea. a win for the citizens this sunday will take them one step closer to the title.

before then, though, burnley and everton get the action going with an intriguing-looking fixture at turf moor on saturday afternoon. a few hours late, the focus turns to anfield as liverpool host newcastle united in what we predict will be a far more entertaining affair.

before city and the blues lock horns at the etihad stadium on sunday, brighton & hove albion host arsenal at the amex stadium. the premier league action draws to a conclusion when manchester united travel to selhurst park to play crystal palace on monday night.

with our odds comparison, predictions and best betting odds, take a look at our weekend premier league preview.

burnley v everton: honours even at turf moor

sean dyche’s burnley and sam allardyce’s everton get things up and running with a fixture at turf moor on saturday afternoon. the clarets have had a season to remember, but they have not won in any competition since beating stoke city in the premier league back in december.

allardyce has certainly steadied the ship at everton, but the toffees are also in poor form. before travelling to lancashire, the merseyside outfit have picked up just one league win away from home all season. they have also won only two of their last 11 in all competitions.

these sides look pretty evenly matched on paper, and we can see this ending all square at turf moor. with that in mind, have a punt on the 1-1 draw at betvictor’s strong betting odds of 11/2.

liverpool v newcastle united: goals galore at anfield

jurgen klopp’s liverpool have been back to their blistering best in recent weeks. the reds will be looking to continue their fine form with a win over rafa benitez’s newcastle at anfield on saturday evening. the merseysiders, who sit third, are the strong favourites in this one.

liverpool have hit back well following their shock defeat at swansea city, picking up 10 points from their subsequent four league fixtures. the magpies are in decent shape themselves though, losing only once in eight pl games. benitez’s boys followed up an excellent 1-0 win over man utd with a 2-2 draw with bournemouth last time out.

liverpool love to score goals, as only runway leaders man city have netted more than the reds in the top flight so far. we predict goals aplenty in this fixture, so back over 3.5 to be scored at betfair’s best betting odds of 11/10.

brighton & hove albion v arsenal: seagulls to cause an upset at the amex?

chris hughton’s brighton have had a solid first year in the top tier and have only been beaten three times at the amex stadium all season. this sunday afternoon, arsene wenger’s out-of-sorts arsenal make the trip to east sussex looking to dent the seagulls’ survival hopes.

the gunners – who were outclassed by man city in last sunday’s efl cup final – have been woeful away from home in the premier league so far. arsenal have lost 50% of their away league matches, beating just everton, burnley and crystal palace along the way. meanwhile, only man city, liverpool and chelsea have won at the amex this term.

albion will fancy their chances of getting something from this one, especially with arsenal in patchy form at the moment. because of that, put some money on the brighton-draw double chance at nice odds of evens with coral.

manchester city v chelsea: citizens too strong for the blues at the etihad

pep guardiola’s man city have dropped just two points at home in the premier league all season. chelsea, who did the double over city on their way to the title last term, are the visitors to the etihad stadium this sunday. a citizens win will take them even closer to the blues’ title.

everton – way back in august – are the only side to have taken anything from the etihad this term. in all competitions, man city have won 19 in a row. conte’s troops have had a disappointing campaign on the whole, but only man city and liverpool have taken more away points so far.

this will no doubt be a cracking game at the etihad between these two english giants. having said that, the citizens should win this one comfortably. according to our odds comparison, betvictor are offering the generous odds of 13/1 for a 3-0 home win, a price certainly worth having a look at.

crystal palace v manchester united: big rom to fire united to victory at selhurst

on monday night, roy hodgson’s crystal palace entertain jose mourinho’s man utd in a crucial fixture at selhurst park. with the eagles fighting for their lives, while the red devils hope to hold on to second spot, there’s a lot to play for in south london on monday.

palace were heading in the right direction not so long ago, but big injuries to key players and some poor results has seen them drop back down towards the relegation zone. united, meanwhile, responded well following their poor performance at st james’ park, coming from behind to beat chelsea at old trafford last sunday.

with both sides seeking the win, this has the potential to be an entertaining fixture in the capital. if the red devils are to leave selhurst with all three points, you can bet that romelu lukaku will be at the forefront. the striker has been back to his best in recent weeks, and we’re predicting the belgian ace to get his name on the scoresheet on monday. you can get lukaku to score first at top betting odds of 4/1 with bet365.
