Burnley looked on course to land a victory over West Ham last weekend, with the Lancashire side leading for most of the second half before conceding two late goals. The defeat keeps them rooted to the foot of the table, with a fair amount of pressure on them to land three points against a Sheffield United side who are also in desperate need of points.

We can understand why the Clarets are favourites to win this clash. They have five shots on target compared to the Hammers’ three last weekend, with Luca Koleosho a livewire who earned a penalty and there could have been more than one spot kick for Burnley. They are likely to dominate the ball against a Blades side who have just one point on the road.

Sheffield United did recently draw at Brighton against all the odds, with Paul Heckingbottom’s side having also beaten Wolves, although they were badly beaten by Bournemouth who had eleven shots on target at Bramall Lane last weekend. It does feel as though the visitors are short of the requisite quality to stay afloat.

Perhaps we’ll see a tight clash played out at Turf Moor, with Under 2.5 Goals potentially a viable option and it might not be a surprise to find Burnley winning the game by a 1-0 scoreline. We might also see a fair number of yellow cards which are awarded and it’s worth noting that four Sheffield United players were in the book last Saturday.
