Lazio v Juventus betting tips - bet against the Juve win

Juventus are bidding to win a tenth Scudetto this season although there are reasons to suggest that the Old Lady might miss out on this fantastic achievement despite having a squad capable of becoming champions of Italy once again.

For starters, Andrea Pirlo might be a Juve legend but it doesn’t necessarily translate that the former Italy international is going to achieve the same status at the Turin club as he did as a player, while these are difficult times considering that the Italian champions are also battling away in the Champions League as part of a congested season.

Juventus Look Too Short in the Betting Against Lazio

Juventus FC are sitting seventh in the Serie A table at the time of writing although seven games played means this is hardly a cause of particular concern, even if the Turin side have dropped nine points so far this campaign and Pirlo’s team are hardly having things their own way on a domestic front.

There has been a clear issue by virtue of Cristiano Ronaldo testing positive for COVID-19 and the former Real Madrid player should be back for this clash against Lazio although the plain fact is that Juve have only won three of their seven games played to date.

Ronaldo came off the bench away to Spezia to help his team enjoy a recent 4-1 triumph although this was one of the easiest fixtures that the Italian champions will face and their clash against the Rome side will be an altogether different issue.

Can Lazio Pack a Punch Against Juve?

If Juventus can be opposed in the betting for certain matches, the big question is whether Lazio can really serve it up against their illustrious opponents and kickstart their own season after a sluggish start to proceedings.

Lazio are another Champions League contender who will have to dust themselves down after a difficult trip to Russia to face Zenit, although we should be encouraged by recent form which has included a 3-1 win over Borussia Dortmund which has to be respected.

We were really taken by how well the Rome side attacked away to Torino and it was truly remarkable that the Azzurri were able to recover from 3-2 down to win the game although they can’t be allowing Juventus to have the same attacking freedom if they’re to score any points from this clash.

After all, Lazio were ran ragged at home to Atalanta in their first home match of the season, although Ciro Immobile has now scored for three consecutive matches and perhaps attack will be the best form of defence.

What are the Best Bets for This Match?

It’s hard to get away from the fact that both teams are likely to score in this game, with Lazio adopting an attack-minded approach under Simone Inzhagi and we are not expecting them to try and adopt a cagey strategy against a dangerous side who will look to get back on a winning curve and make sure that the early leaders don’t get away.

You can either go for the “Yes” option on the Both Teams to Score betting market and there is also the possibility to go for the Over 2.5 Goals or even the Over 3.5 Goals option where you can cheer on goals with plenty of confidence that the net will bulge.

Lazio could also be worth backing on the Asian Handicap betting market and you might want to get with them enjoying half a goal start which means you get the draw on your side, with Juve’s low win rate clearly a cause for concern for anyone thinking about having a bet.

We do think it’s probable that Cristiano Ronaldo will find the net at some stage in proceedings so it’s worth hunting out CR7 on the BTTS market.
