MLS Betting
Inter Miami have not started the 2025 season brilliant although they’re still warm favourites to win the 2025 MLS Cup. There are lots of outright markets available for the Major League Soccer season, with customers also able to bet on the winner of the Eastern Conference and Western Conference.
There’s also the chance to wager on the Top Goalscorer market. As you might expect, Lionel Messi is among the front runners to win the Golden Boot. However, Tai Baribo, Cristian Arango and Brian White could also be in the final shake-up. There are also individual awards such as MVP and Messi might well figure here.
It's also great to bet on every MLS game, with many bettors enjoying the chance to place a Bet Builder on the action. A same-game multi can be a really fun wager to have, with many customers also keen to place an MLS acca. This means you can pick out different teams and selections before combining them together.
Inter Miami are expected to battle it out with Philadelphia Union for the honour of winning the Eastern Conference. Columbus Crew, FC Cincinnati and Nashville SC are also expected to contend. As far as the Western Conference is concerned, Vancouver Whitecaps are the rock-solid favourites to win.
MLS Cup Outright Betting
Inter Miami have never won an MLS Cup although perhaps 2025 is when this changes. Last year, they finished top of the Eastern Conference before exiting the playoffs in the first round. However, Sergio Busquets’ side could well make an impact this time around. At the time of writing, Inter sit third in the Eastern Conference standings and they score a lot of goals.
Maybe that’s hardly a surprise when Lionel Messi is in the ranks, with the Argentine adopting an attacking approach to all their games. Luis Suarez and Jordi Alba are also part of the Barcelona alumni who have the experience of winning major silverware. However, there could be some better value alternatives.
Vancouver Whitecaps look like a rock solid alternative and the Canadian side are taking the Western Conference by storm. They are comfortably clear at the top of the section right now, landing nine victories from the fifteen games played thus far. Their defence is super tight, with just twelve goals conceded in the space of those matches.
Having won the Canadian Championship for the past three seasons, they will now set their sights on landing a victory in the MLS. However, Philadelphia Union are another plausible winner of the competition. They started the Eastern Conference best of all, securing ten wins and three draws from their opening seventeen encounters.
There have previously been successes for Philly, most notably when winning the Eastern Conference in 2020 and 2022. When it came to the latter, there was a play-offs success here too. They ended up with a runners-up berth against Los Angeles in the final and the foundations have been laid to seal a victory.
MLS Conference Betting
According to the MLS betting sites, there are five teams who can end up winning the Eastern Conference. Inter Miami are marginal favourites to land a victory, although it could actually pay to back Philadelphia Union instead. It’s not imperative to win the Conference in order to reach the play-offs.
Columbus Crew are another team who can make an impact, with Wilfried Nancy’s side having produced some smart performances already this term. They were able to finish second in the Eastern Conference last season before exiting at the first round stage. There could be plenty of scope for FC Cincinnati and Nashville SC, with New York Red Bulls regarded as an outsider this term.
Vancouver Whitecaps are certainly looking like the team to beat as far as Western Conference is concerned. However, the odds suggest that another side might end up pipping them. Minnesota United have won eight and drawn three of their seventeen games to date and they are next in the betting market.
San Diego FC were able to accrue a grand total of thirty points from their seventeen clashes played. Mikey Varas’ side can make an impact in the normal season and the play-offs, with Los Angeles FC having made a modest start to the campaign although it wouldn’t be a great surprise if they ended up in the final shake-up.
MLS Top Goalscorer Betting
It’s Tai Baribo who is leading the way at the top of the MLS scoring charts. The Philadelphia Union forward has managed to score thirteen times at the time of writing. That puts him two clear of the chasing pack, although he’s still available at a backable price to finish up with the Golden Boot.
The bookies have paid out plenty of times on Lionel Messi winning individual awards in the past. The Argentine sits on ten goals this season for Inter Miami FC and is clearly capable of scoring goals in high volume. Nevertheless, the former Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain man might be priced a little too short.
The San Jose Earthquakes are battling it out in the Western Conference and a significant percentage of their goals scored have come from Cristian Arango. This is a high-scoring side and perhaps the forward is worth considering from an each-way point-of-view. The Colombian was previously impressive for Real Salt Lake.
Sam Surridge has previously been on the books at Bournemouth and he is now making an impression in the MLS. The striker has pilfered eleven goals during the season thus far. In total, he has scored twenty goals in the space of fifty games, although the forward has really stepped up this term.
If the Vancouver Whitecaps continue to score at a rate of knots, this could well bring one of their players into contention. Brian White recently reached double figures for the 2025 MLS season, with the American looking like a decent each-way shout. He’s now on 56 goals in the space of 127 games for his current club.
Hugo Cuypers might not be at the right level to represent the Belgian national team although he’s certainly been in the groove for Chicago Fire this term. The 28-year-old will hope that he can fire the goals to steer his team into the play-offs and beyond. It looks like a wide open market.
MVP Award Betting
Although Lionel Messi isn’t guaranteed to finish as top scorer in the MLS, he stands a much better chance of winning the MVP Award. We know that the Argentine is a pin-up star of the Major League Soccer right now, with the forward still capable of some dazzling performances.
This award nearly always goes to an attacking player and that is reflected in the other contenders. Tai Baribo could end up winning the MVP Award if he fires Philadelphia Union to success this season. Brian White could also secure the accolade if he is able to continue scoring for Vancouver Whitecaps. It could be a three-way shoot according to the latest odds.
