Rugby Union's Premiership season is still quite young but already the 2014-15 season is showing great promise and here we take a look at the battle to be crowned outright winners of the Aviva Premiership. As well as making our predictions for the current season and offering up great betting tips, our live betting odds comparison also instantly shows you which online bookmaker is offering the best odds for whichever side you want to bet on. This is a great tool and means that when you come to collect your winnings in May you'll make the greatest possible amount of cash from your bet.

Last season the final was contested by Northampton and Saracens, the Saints needing extra time to edge that one by 24-20, atoning for their 37-17 defeat at the hands of Leicester in the final 12 months before. Those three sides are all in the mix this year with Sarries the current favourites at odds of 6/4 with BetVictor, the Saints next at 5/2 and Leicester Tigers fourth favourites at betting odds of 11/2 with Sporting Bet.

Despite the confidence of the bookies we're not sure the Tigers, one of English rugby union's most successful clubs, have quite got the class to go all the way this term and it's the third favourites, currently Bath at around 5/1, who we think will push the top two in the odds.

Bath look to have a very well-balanced squad with some real stars and whilst their glory days are a long way in the past, they could be on the rise once more. They've started the season well and look to have a lot of tries in them and can certainly improve on their fifth place finish after 22 games last year.

Overall though we have to side with the Saints when it comes to our outright betting tip for this year's Premiership. Their squad continues to evolve and their big-game experience and all-round ability makes them our pick for outright glory at Twickenham at the end of May.

As the betting odds suggest, there is little between them and Sarries, as indeed we saw in last year's Premiership final, but on balance we think odds of 6/4 for Northampton to win back to back titles are worth taking.
