Bet on the UEFA Conference League's League Phase
Once the qualifying matches have been played, we have a final line-up of thirty-six clubs who line up in the league phase of the competition. The teams are from a wide range of countries, including the lesser nations who are more represented in this tournament than you will find with the Champions League and Europa League.
The league phase involves six rounds of matches. Each Match Day provides the chance to place UEFA Conference League bets and there are eighteen games each Thursday. It's great to look through the football betting coupon and check out the latest match odds. You can pick a team to win and potentially combine it together to get a bigger potential return.
The top eight sides automatically go through to the UEFA Conference League last sixteen stage. There are opportunities to bet on the outright winner on a frequent basis, with the teams between ninth and sixteenth going into the play-offs as seeded sides. The clubs between seventeenth and twenty-fourth are the unseeded play-off sides.
Who Are the Favourites to Win the UEFA Conference League?
Brighton & Hove Albion are the market leaders at the time of writing. The Seagulls look to be one of the strongest sides in the Premier League right now and they may well take this European competition by storm. The only downside is that Fabian Hurzeler's side might not prioritise this competition if there's an opportunity to qualify for the Champions League or even challenge for the domestic title.
There are three other teams trading at single figure odds to win including Atalanta, Monaco and Freiburg. The former are a solid Serie A performer who finished seventh in the domestic standings last term. Maurizio Sarri is an experienced coach, with Monaco one of the leading teams in Ligue 1 who were slightly below par when finishing seventh last time out.
Freiburg have the blueprint of reaching the Europa League final last season when losing to Aston Villa. It means that they are now playing in the third European cup competition, having finished seventh in the German Bundesliga last season.
Which Clubs Have Recently Won the UEFA Conference League?
The UEFA Conference League has been in operation for five seasons and counting. In three of those renewals, there has been an English winner. West Ham got over the line in 2022-23, with David Moyes' side overcoming Fiorentina. Two years later, a star-studded Chelsea side got the job done against Real Betis. A year later, Crystal Palace got the better of Rayo Vallecano.
Roma were the inaugural winners in the 2021-22 season when toppling Feyenoord in the final and there has also been a Greek winner in the form of Olympiacos. They beat Fiorentina in the 2023-24 final.
